The New Haven Chef’s Table—A Spectacular, Gala Fundraiser for the CMHC Foundation to Kick Off “Restaurant Week”
view invitation here (.pdf)

On Wednesday, November 3, the Connecticut Mental Health Center Foundation celebrated the publication of its new cookbook, New Haven Chef’s Table, with an open-house style “tasting event” at 360 State Street, the new upscale high-rise in downtown New Haven. The event’s Special Guest, Tim Cipriano, Executive Director of Food Services for the New Haven Public Schools in Connecticut, joined 18 of the city’s top restaurants serving delicious recipes and cocktails featured in the book.

A spectacular kick off to the 5th annual New Haven Restaurant Week, the event was hosted by the CMHC Foundation and Town Green Special Services District and served as a gala launch for New Haven Chef’s Table, published by Lyons Press, an imprint of Globe Pequot Press, in Guilford, CT. The first cookbook to present the depth and breadth of New Haven’s food offerings in one place, the book profiles more than 35 of the city’s top chefs, each of whom offers favorite recipes reworked for the home cook. The book also highlights the growing sustainable food movement, with an emphasis on local growers, farmers, and organizations.
