How Does the Foundation Get the Resources to Fund Supportive Programs?

• The Annual Appeal, mailed in the Fall, provides direct support.
• Grants from Foundations and Corporations.
• Direct, unsolicited contributions from philanthropic individuals and organizations.
• Special Events, run by Board members or other Volunteers.
• Bequests from Estates or Trusts.

Our objective, through all these endeavors, is to augment our modest endowment to be able to fund more programs and/or make stronger commitments to programs we currently fund.

Mental illness, in one form or another, touches almost every family. Mental health is at the core of emotional and physical well-being. The Foundation’s efforts to enhance the quality of life and ease the transition into the community for the patients of CMHC are direct and immediate. The Foundation is a small, low overhead organization, whose resources are used to directly support its mission.
